Reason for optimism #3 – Beaver Stadium

The home field advantage created by Penn State Football fans is second to none. Even against the best of the best in terms of opponents, the Nittany Lions are always in a dogfight on their home turf thanks to the energy and noise from the crowd.

This obviously isn’t a White Out or a primetime game, but the atmosphere should still be electric.

I wrote a message to Penn State Football fans where I talked about the importance that the crowd will play in this one. If the fans show up and show out as if this were a primetime matchup, it could be a big boost for the team.

False starts and delay of game penalties can keep the Buckeyes’ explosive offense behind the sticks, which hopefully can help slow them down.

Ohio State is one of the nation’s best teams, and it will take a lot for the Nittany Lions to come away with a win; but being that this is a home game, it gives Penn State a fighting chance.
