Betting Line

The Buckeyes are currently a 15.5-point favorite in this game.

That number is understandable considering Ohio State’s dominance this season. The average margin of victory for Ohio State this season is 34.7 points, practically five whole touchdowns. Just insane.

With that said, this is the lowest line for the Buckeyes this season. The previous low was 17 points in the season opener against Notre Dame. That was a home game that Ohio State won 21-10.

Both teams are about average when it comes to against the spread. Ohio State is 4-2-1 while Penn State is 4-3.

Under James Franklin, the Nittany Lions have covered the spread against Ohio State in six out of eight matchups, including an outright win in 2016. Franklin has either covered the spread or won in all three of the matchups with the Buckeyes that occurred in Beaver Stadium with fans in attendance.

The Nittany Lions have been the one team to consistently play the Buckeyes tough since Ohio State rejuvenated itself under Urban Meyer in 2012.

Logic says Ohio State will win, but history says Penn State will cover.
