3. 5-star WR Ryan Wingo (2024)

We often discuss the fact that Penn State football needs to put as much talent as possible around the young, but promising quarterback room it has.

Adding a 5-star talent like Ryan Wingo is exactly what the doctor ordered.

The 6-foot-2, 198-pound Wingo will make the trip up from St. Louis for the White Out this weekend. He is rated as the No. 3 wide receiver in the country by the 247 Sports composite.

Like Robinson, a ton of the big-name programs are after Wingo. He holds offers from Florida, Auburn, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee and others.

Landing Wingo will be a challenge, but the White Out could help. The Nittany Lions do need better play from their wide receivers though if they want to win over a top talent like Wingo.

Penn State could use a big-body receiver like Wingo, A lot of the guys the Nittany Lions have brought in lately are under six feet and profile best in the slot. Getting back to the days of Allen Robinson and Chris Godwin and throwing some jump balls down field wouldn’t hurt at all.

Maybe freshman quarterback Drew Allar sees some action in this game. If he plays well, Wingo might want him as his future quarterback.
