The Whiteout game at Beaver Stadium is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that Penn State Football fans experience every season. The game has more ramifications than just a win or a loss.

Penn State Football holds one thing true year after year. The Whiteout is the best environment in college football. The game typically features Penn State Football’s toughest opponent on the schedule, with a nighttime kick being essential.

This year is different. The Whiteout game is against Minnesota and not the usual Michigan or Ohio State. Money talks and the Whiteout wouldn’t be the same with a noon kick.

While most fans are still licking their wounds from last week’s Michigan game, Penn State is still ahead of schedule. Most predictions saw the Nittany Lions finishing the season at 8-4. 10-2 is still a very real possibility.

The Whiteout is about more than whether Penn State wins or losses. A win in the annual spectacle does hit differently and advances the program more than it does in the standings.
