Penn State football is having success both on the field and on the recruiting trail so far this season.

Penn State football currently has the No. 12 recruiting class in the nation and the staff is looking to add to this talented class.

With Penn State on bye this weekend, the staff is taking some extra time to focus on recruiting. Not many programs have recruited better than Penn State over the last two years with the Nittany Lions having the No. 6 class in 2022 and the No. 12 class in 2023.

Penn State’s 2023 class currently has 20 commits, meaning there’s plenty of room for more additions.

The Nittany Lions could still use some help at offensive tackle, wide receiver, running back and defensive end/linebacker. While there are uncommitted targets out there, along with senior risers, Penn State may have to fill some of its needs by flipping a recruit committed to another school.

Penn State has already flipped one recruit this cycle, as it landed a commitment from Jaxon Smolik, who was committed to Tulane.

Here are four possible flip candidates the Nittany Lions may pursue in order to round out their 2023 class.
