Penn State and Wisconsin very rarely cross paths on the recruiting trail. The two programs are seeking different levels of talent and skill sets.

There is one very highly touted player that picked Wisconsin over the Nittany Lions. Nolan Rucci.

The five-star rated recruit was the top prospect in the state of Pennslyvania in the 2021 recruiting class. Nolan Rucci is a Penn State legacy with his dad playing under Joe Paterno in the early 90s.

While surprising that Nolan picked Wisconsin, the coaching change could open the door for Rucci to utilize the transfer portal. Rucci would instantly bring a level of talent Penn State rarely sees to the offensive line.
