Penn State Football: four things I want to see against Northwestern

More of Dani Dennis-Sutton
After collecting his first career sack in mop-up time at Auburn, then adding two more in a similar situation against Central Michigan, Dani Dennis-Sutton seems to be settling in at the collegiate level.
The highly touted true freshman has not seen as much action through the first four games as many thought he might, but he’s still someone who can make a major impact this season–and they’ll likely need him to.
He is such a naturally gifted pass-rusher that he can help the Nittany Lions get pressure without having to bring six or seven guys on a blitz.
That is something that could be a game changer down the stretch, as having to ‘bring the house’ to get pressure on opposing QBs can be extremely risky against great offenses, as it leaves wide open holes on the second level for short, quick routes. Plus, one missed gap assignment or bad angle and a mobile quarterback can take off and pick up huge chunks of yardage with nobody home on the second level as we saw numerous times against Auburn.
I think this game is a great opportunity to get Dani Dennis-Sutton a ton of reps and get him ready to be a major contributor beginning with the three-game gauntlet that will follow the bye week.
