The Penn State football team runs out onto the field to take on Auburn in a White Out game at Beaver Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, in State College.Hes Dr 091821 Pennstate 23 /

The “Orange Out” will have an effect.

This week has been full of talk about Auburn’s attempt to recreate the Whiteout environment with their very own and super original “Orange Out.” This game will be game two of three for the Nittany Lions, where they will face a “(insert school color here) Out.” Penn State was not impacted by Purdue’s “Blackout” environment. This environment will be a different animal.

Sean Clifford represents a stable, experienced veteran that will be leaned on heavily in this matchup. Penn State as a whole is a young team. Youth can play out one of two ways. They can become rattled and unable to rise to the occasion or they can be oblivious to the moment and play up to their full potential.

This game atmosphere can cause communication errors and adversity this group has yet to come up against. Auburn will have 30,000 more fans and a far more rabid fan base than Purdue featured early in September.

Bold Prediction #3

Penn State will have two presnap penalties and have some communication issues on the offensive line.

I am going to respect the environment that Auburn is going to try and present. Penn State has yet to have a presnap penalty on offense. It seems like they might be due. The offensive line does not have continuity yet and will lead to a couple of sacks on Sean Clifford.
