Cause for concern #3 – the kicking game

After he was a perfect 5/5 on extra points in week one with no field goal attempts, placekicker Jake Pinegar struggled in week two missing both a field goal and an extra point.

Against Ohio, those four points were not much of an issue, but that could make a huge difference against a good Auburn team in a tough environment where momentum can and likely will play a huge factor.

In his career, Pinegar is a 71.7% field goal kicker, which is certainly some cause for concern.

He hit 91.7% of his field goals in 2019, so the potential is there to be an outstanding kicker, but he’s been shaky the past few years and he’ll need to clean that up, starting this week.
