2. Offensive tackle

Penn State lost its top two tackle targets over the summer in Evan Link and Stanton Ramil.

Since then, no name has really emerged as an obvious choice to be next in line for the Nittany Lions. Like at running back, this evaluation process may go throughout the entire high school season before new offers are handed out.

Penn State has three talented offensive linemen already committed, but the problem is two of them profile best on the interior. Depth at offensive tackle is already showing to be low on Penn State’s current roster and adding just one tackle in this recruiting class won’t help that.

This late in the cycle it’s unlikely Penn State finds someone like Connor McGovern or Landon Tengwall, who has the build and talent to play meaningful snaps as a true freshman. Regardless, finding a two-year project is better than finding no one at all.

Even if Penn State does find an offensive tackle they like in this class and land him, expect the Nittany Lions to be active in the transfer portal looking for offensive tackles after the season.
