Penn State football will have opportunity to play plenty of young players on Saturday during its matchup with Ohio.

Numerous freshmen and sophomores played key roles for Penn State football last week in the team’s victory over Purdue.

Despite it being the first game of the year against a conference opponent, the youngsters still played, even when the game was close down the stretch.

Now, the Nittany Lions will head home to face the Ohio Bobcats, a tough team, but not nearly the challenge that Purdue on the road at night was. The fact that there should be some distance between Penn State and Ohio on the scoreboard, will allow for more playing time for inexperienced players.

We should see even more young players play than last week, with home games allowing for more players to suit up. Here’s five of those young players who could end up having a big day on Saturday.
