Although Penn State Football is favored by more than three touchdowns on Saturday, there are still plenty of things to keep an eye on in the Nittany Lions’ home opener.

Penn State will be taking on the Ohio Bobcats–click here to learn everything you need to know about the Bobcats–and even if they win comfortably like they’re supposed to, there will be some other minor details that fans want to see throughout and within the game.

Here are five things that I want to see from Penn State Football when they take on the Ohio Bobcats inside Beaver Stadium this weekend.

More of Drew Allar

This is in no way a shot at the Big Ten co-offensive player of the week. It’s actually the exact opposite.

I want to see Sean Clifford and this team take care of business early so that we have an opportunity to see Drew Allar get a ton of snaps and make some plays.

We got a brief look at the former five-star against Purdue, and although it was an extremely small sample size, he played well and left us wanting more.

Assuming Clifford remains healthy, this may be one of only a few games where we get to see Drew Allar get extended action this season.

Hopefully the staff gets Allar in there early enough that they can have him sling it around the yard a little bit before it gets to the point of being ‘poor sportsmanship’ to pass instead of run because it’s too late in the game with such a sizeable lead. If it’s a three-possession game (or more) at any point in the second half, the staff should feel comfortable at that point letting the freshman sensation take the reins.

I think I speak for the entire Penn State Football fanbase when I say we want to see Drew Allar get at least a handful of drives against Ohio with plenty of opportunities to drop back; and perhaps even throw his first career touchdown(s).
