Offensive Tackle

Is there one name that currently sticks out? No, but Penn State needs to find another offensive tackle for this cycle.

We know that Alex Birchmeier is an interior lineman and Jven Williams is probably better suited inside as well. That leaves Anthony Donkoh as the only tackle in this class.

The Nittany Lions took two tackles last year, but depth is a concern at the position.

Evan Link and Stanton Ramil are off the board, so offensive line coach Phil Trautwein is in the middle of a board reset. He will likely need to look all over the country to find a target that fits for Penn State.

Big time 5-star offensive tackle Samson Okunlola from Massachusetts is technically still out there, but there hasn’t been anything to suggest the Nittany Lions are firmly in the mix there for a while now.

This could go the distance as Trautwein may evaluate senior year film before extending new offers or pushing harder for a target he didn’t focus on in the past.

This may be the No.1 recruiting storyline remaining for Penn State football in the 2023 cycle.
