CB Zion Tracy

A relatively new target, 3-star corner back Zion Tracy received his Penn State offer in early August after attending a camp in late July.

It didn’t take long for Tracy to set an official visit to Penn State after that as he will take the visit this upcoming weekend for the Ohio game.

The fact that Tracy received his offer as a result of his performance at a camp this late in the cycle means the Penn State staff is very high on him. Keep in mind, Penn State already has five defensive backs committed in this class, so the fact they still want Tracy says he is a talented player.

Part of Penn State’s success over the last two recruiting cycles is in part due to the staff’s ability to identify talent early and lock those players up before their recruitments blow up. Tony Rojas is a great example of this. The Nittany Lions offered him when he was a 3-star and by the time of his commitment to Penn State, he was a high 4-star with offered from Georgia, Clemson and others.

From New York, the 5-foot-11 Tracy has a chance to be the next commit in this class and yet another steal for the staff.
