Special teams game ball – Barney Amor (P)

We certainly saw more of Barney Amor than we would have liked, but he certainly proved why he earned a scholarship a couple weeks ago, as he was excellent as the Nittany Lions’ punter on Thursday evening.

On eight total punts, he averaged 46.9 yards per punt with a long of 52, as well as had three downed inside the 20 and just one touchback. He should have had four downed inside the 20 and no touchbacks, as he stopped a punt beautifully on the one-yard line that Daequan Hardy accidentally knocked into the endzone.

He’s got big shoes to fill with the departure of Jordan Stout, but this is a good start for the transfer from Colgate.

Hopefully we don’t have to see as much of Barney Amor in the coming weeks, especially next week.
