Penn State Football has several questions heading into the season opener. Let’s look at some bold predictions for the opener against Purdue.

The Penn State Football account has tweeted out, “WEAR WHITE,” which can only mean one thing: football is back. It’s been a long nine months talking about whether or not the offensive line has improved.

The Penn State offense will again begin the season on the road against a Big Ten West foe. Purdue presents a different set of obstacles compared to Wisconsin last year. Purdue is a team that will be trying to outscore their opponents.

For the first time in the Sean Clifford era, he will have the same offensive coordinator in consecutive years. Mike Yurcich returns after a disappointing year by his own admission. There will be no learning curve to begin this season as Penn State will try to return to being a Big Ten contender.

The offense will bring back its starting quarterback, running back, two wide receivers, all of the tight ends, and four offensive lineman that contributed last season. There is a great deal of optimism on the offensive side of the ball that will have to carry more of the load this season.

Let’s take a look at three bold predictions for this Penn State offense against Purdue.
