Key player on defense – Adisa Isaac (DE)

Purdue quarterback Aidan O’Connell will be dropping back far more often than not on Thursday night, so the Nittany Lions need to be able to consistently get pressure on him.

In his first game since 2020 and as a projected starter, it will be important for Adisa Isaac to shake the rust off early and become a disruptor in the Boilermaker backfield.

It doesn’t matter whether or not Purdue has one of the best quarterbacks in the conference if he doesn’t have any time to throw the ball. For that reason, Isaac will need to play well in his first game as a starter.
