The Big Ten football season will get under way this Saturday with three conference teams playing in Week 0.

The Big Ten conference was loaded last year, with four teams finishing inside the final AP Top 25 Poll of the 2021 season.

More teams look poised to enter those rankings in 2022 with teams like Wisconsin, Minnesota, Penn State, Nebraska and Maryland all improved.

While some teams look ready to make a jump, others seem destined for a step back. Plenty of question marks surround the likes of Indiana and Northwestern.

The Big Ten is arguably the most competitive conference in college football, along with the SEC. This season has the makings of an exciting one for the conference, with the West division wide open and the East full of talented teams.

Here’s where things stand in the Big Ten as we head into the 2022 season.
