Penn State Football key player on offense – Juice Scruggs

When thinking of the most important positions along the offensive line, you typically think of the left tackle, and while that’s generally true, Juice Scruggs could be the most important lineman for this year’s team.

As the projected starter at center, Scruggs will not only be tasked with being a leader of this unit as one of just two returning starters along the offensive front, but he will also be expected to anchor the interior of this line which will be vital to the team’s ability to run the ball more effectively–especially between the tackles.

Most people would agree that Scruggs was the team’s best offensive lineman in 2021, so having him back and also moved from right guard to center is a huge plus for the Nittany Lions.

If Scruggs can have his best season yet, the running game would surely improve, which would in turn help them to hit on some more explosive plays. It’s all a chain reaction.
