Bold prediction #3 – Sean Clifford has his best season statistically

Truthfully, this one is not very bold if you really think about it. I’m not predicting Sean Clifford to be a Heisman contender or even an all-conference performer, I’m simply predicting him to have his best statistical season in each of four major categories.

To date, these are Clifford’s bests.

  • Completion Percentage: 61% (2021)
  • Passing Yards per Attempt: 8.3 (2019)
  • Touchdown Passes: 23 (2019)
  • Interceptions: 7 (2019)

So for this prediction to come true, Sean Clifford would have to complete at least 62% of his passes at a minimum of 8.4 yards per attempt, as well as throw at least 24 touchdowns and fewer than seven interceptions.

To me, that’s absolutely doable for the fourth-year starter.
