After a lackluster past two years, Penn State Football will need to turn things around offensively in 2022.

Speculation around fall camp suggests that may happen, but at this point, that’s just talk. Right now, all we can do is exactly that: speculate and talk … and predict.

So, it’s time to make some bold predictions about the Penn State Football offense in 2022.

Bold prediction #1 – Parker Washington and Mitchell Tinsley combine for over 2,000 receiving yards

Penn State’s wide receiver corps will be the deepest they’ve been in a long time, and they will be led by two of the nation’s best.

Last season, Parker Washington hauled in 820 receiving yards as the Nittany Lions’ second option, and Mitchell Tinsley went for 1,402 as the second option for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

Playing for two different teams in two very different conferences, the duo combined for over 2,000 yards a year ago. Tinsley will obviously be facing tougher competition than he did at his previous home, but he is still talented enough to be highly productive.

Whether it be a 50/50 split where each goes for right around 1,000 yards, or maybe one emerges as the top target and goes for 1,200 and the other goes for 800; this game changing duo will combine for at least 2,000 receiving yards in 2022.

For some reference, Washington and Jahan Dotson combined for 2,002 yards in 2021, so this prediction is not too bold, but it’s a nice way to get us started as out predictions will progressively get bolder.
