Ohio State Buckeyes (No. 2)

Coming off an 11-2 season that ended with a Rose Bowl victory, the Ohio State Buckeyes come in at No. 2.

While the team’s top two wide receivers from the last two seasons, Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, are off to the NFL, this team still returns a ton offensively.

Quarterback C.J. Stroud is back after an impressive first season as a starter. In 2021, he completed 71.9% of his passes for 4,435 yards and 44 touchdowns to just six interceptions. Joining him in the backfield is talented running back TreVeyon Henderson, who rushed for 1,248 yards and 15 touchdowns on just 183 carries.

Stroud’s No. 1 target will be Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who caught 95 passes for 1,606 yard and nine touchdowns in 2021.

On defense, Ohio State will rely on multiple former 5-star recruits to generate pressure up front.  Talented safety Ronnie Hickman also returns in 2021.

The offense will carry this Ohio State squad in 2022 as it may be the best in the country.

Ohio State visits Penn State on Oct. 29.
