Penn State Football: Takeaways from Jaxon Smolik’s commitment
Penn State now has a quarterback in its 2023 class after Jaxon Smolik joined the class on Friday.
Friday was a good day for Penn State football with former Tulane quarterback commit Jaxon Smolik committing to the Nittany Lions.
Smolik is the 19th member of Penn State’s 2023 recruiting class. The class currently ranks tenth in the national rankings and is at least in the conversation to finish inside the top ten at the end of the cycle.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback saw his recruitment explode after a strong showing at the Elite 11 Final. Not many expected his commitment to Tulane to stick, and they were right.
