At long last, college football is nearly back. Here’s how to watch Penn State Nittany Lions football throughout the 2022 season.

WE ARE PENN STATE! Football is almost back – which means we finally have our Saturday rituals back. Here’s how to watch Penn State Nittany Lions football in 2022.

Penn State Football Outlook 2022

There’s a lot that head coach James Franklin needs to fix heading into 2022. The Nittany Lions are 11-11 over their last 22 games, coming off a season in which they didn’t have a 100-yard rusher in a single game.

The good news is the Nittany Lions have a capable, experience quarterback in Sean Clifford. Clifford isn’t the type to take over a game, and he’s had his share of bad performances, but he should be a steady presence under center.

Unfortunately, center (and guard and tackle) might not be steady. Penn State’s offensive line had a myriad of issues last year and the player’s who will likely start in 2022 don’t have a ton of experience. However, if they can gel together, there’s plenty of offensive talent in Happy Valley – including running back Keyvone Lee and wide receivers Parker Washington and Mitchell Tinsley.

Currently, the Nittany Lions have three games locked into both a time slot and a network. There’s an additional game (vs Central Michigan) that doesn’t have a time slot, but will air on the Big Ten Network.

Thursday, September 1: at Purdue (8PM ET, FOX)

Saturday, September 10: vs Ohio (12PM ET, ABC)

Saturday, September 17: at Auburn (3:30PM ET, CBS)

Overall, week three is the first big-time matchup for the Nittany Lions. A win over Auburn would obviously set the tone for the season – even if Auburn isn’t the powerhouse it was a few years ago. October brings a number of huge tests – with an away game against Michigan and a home game against Ohio State coming in a three-week stretch.
