Naquil Betrand

A 3-star from Philadelphia, Naquil Betrand recently announced he will spend his senior season at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore.

Despite being ranked No. 896 in the 247 Sports composite, Betrand has some big names after him.

The 6-foot-7 310-pound offensive tackle has the likes of Georgia, Auburn and Texas A&M, along with Penn State, after him.

As we know by now, Penn State’s track record for recruiting offensive linemen against Georgia is not great. Additionally, the NIL era has turned Texas A&M into a recruiting powerhouse.

It’s clear that Betrand is better than his ranking and has a high ceiling, but it’s hard to see Penn State winning this one.

He is expected to make his commitment announcement on Aug. 6, with the three SEC schools looking like the overwhelming favorites.
