2. Tony Rojas (2023)

Tony Rojas is the newest member in Penn State’s 2023 class, and it was a big win for the Nittany Lions.

The 4-star linebacker also had the likes of Clemson, Miami and Goergia after him.

Penn State had the early advantage here because they were the first school of this group to offer Rojas. While the Nittany Lions were ahead of the curve when it came to offering Rojas, the relationship was not as long as it was with someone like Dennis-Sutton.

With Clemson being Clemson, Georgia fresh off of a national championship victory and Miami receiving a massive new coach recruiting boost, this was not an easy group to go up against. It also didn’t help that Rojas took mid-week unofficial visits to Georgia in between his official visits in June.

In the end though, Penn State’s relationship won out again. This one was a battle, but one that has to feel good for new defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Manny Diaz, who won over his old school Miami.
