3. Dani Dennis-Sutton (2022)

Dani Dennis-Sutton was one of the top edge rushers in the 2022 class.

Penn State was on the talented defensive end since he was a freshman in high school.

The Nittany Lions had a lot going for them in this recruitment. They had the longest relationship of any school in the country with Dennis-Sutton and he attended one of Penn State’s best pipelines, The McDonogh School in Maryland.

These connections had many believing he was a lock to Penn State.

That thinking got a little murky when Dennis-Sutton took official visits to Alabama and Georgia, along with Penn State last June.

In the end, the Nittany Lions long-standing relationship won out and Dennis-Sutton committed to Penn State last July. He is now set to make an impact as a true freshman for the Nittany Lions.

You may be wondering why a head-to-head-to-head  recruiting battle is only third on this list, and the fact Penn State had such a big lead early in this recruitment is the reason why. It’s still an incredibly impressive win.
