How to Watch John Harrar in The Basketball Tournament

John Harrar and the Men of Mackey kick off their run in The Basketball Tournament this Sunday on ESPN 3.

The Men of Mackey, comprised mostly of Purdue Boilermaker alum, return to The Basketball Tournament after going 2-2 last year in the Dayton region.  Led by former star Robbie Hummel, the Men of Mackey were granted a four seed in the tournament, going off against the 5 seed Mid American Unity this Sunday (July 24th) at 7:00 pm on ESPN3 and Sling.

The Basketball Tournament, or TBT, is a tournament featuring former college and now professional basketball players not currently playing in the NBA.  The Nittany Lions have seen former greats Talor Battle, D.J. Newbill, Brandon Taylor, and Donovan Jack play in previous years.  Despite numerous social media posts urging the Nittany Lions to create their own alumni team, Harrar will travel west to play for Penn State Head Coach Micah Shrewsberry’s former players on Purdue’s team.

John Harrar has had quite a ride the past few weeks after being honored at Senior Night in the Bryce Jordan Center.  He was invited to a minicamp for the Philadelphia Eagles and was honored as a scholar-athlete representing the Big 10.   One thing is for sure, it will be great to see Harrar on the hardcourt one more time this weekend.
