Filling a big need

The school named Linebacker U needed help at the position it is most well known for.

On the current roster, Penn State has only seven scholarship linebackers on the roster. One is a former safety in Johathan Sutherland and two others are true freshmen. Depth is not something the Nittany Lions have at linebacker.

Thanks to Rojas and Robinson, the Nittany Lions are now starting to build some depth at the position. Keep in mind that DaKaari Nelson may end up as SAM, so Penn State could already have three linebackers in this class.

As mentioned on the previous slide, the Nittany Lions are also involved with Keys, who took an official visit in June. Landing four linebackers, with all of them being 4-stars, would be huge for the future of the position.

This is a great haul for first year defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Manny Diaz. The fact that his former employer, Miami, was involved with both linebackers just makes it even sweeter for him.
