One Big Happy Family

I know, I know. Everybody builds relationships with their recruits. Penn State takes it to another level. Penn State has been great at not only building the relationship with the player, but the family as well.

As evidenced in Penn States’ latest commitment, 4-star Linebacker Tony Rojas mentions that his commitment was a family decision.

Penn State is also building a culture where the recruits are a very close-knit group. Offensive lineman Alex Birchmeier, cornerback Lamont Payne, and safety Dakaari Nelson have been the biggest stewards of this culture.

James Franklin has always preached that Penn State is a family and that hasn’t changed. With NIL and everything else going on in college football, it’s hard to convince players that you have their best interest in mind. Coach Franklin and his entire coaching staff have been able to tell recruits about the family atmosphere and get them to buy into it.
