Marco Lainez III

Marco Lainez is not a name that has come up at all, but his location makes him somewhat notable.

The Iowa commit is from New Jersey and attends the Hun School, a high school Penn State has had success recruiting in the past.

Lainez’s offer sheet is not bad either. Outside of Iowa, he also has offers from Louisville, Michigan State, Pitt and West Virginia.

Lainez, who has been committed to Iowa since last December, is rated as the No. 25 quarterback in the country by the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He is listed at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, solid size for a college quarterback.

There’s been no movement to suggest that Lainez would flip, but he’s some to monitor for a potential Penn State offer.
