WR Anthony Brown

Anthony Brown was a name that came up a lot last year but hasn’t much of late.

Regardless, the Ohio wide receiver recently put Penn State in his top five and set a commitment date of July 16.

Rated as a 4-star, Brown is good friends with 2022 Penn State signee Kaden Saunders. This relationship was a big reason why many thought Brown would end up with the Nittany Lions.

Things seemed to cool off a lot between the two sides though, as Brown did not make an official visit to Happy Valley. It’s uncommon for a recruit to go through the official visit process just to pick a school he didn’t visit a month later.

The Nittany Lions currently have two wide outs committed and are in the thick of it for a couple more, so it’s hard to imagine they’re the pick for Brown next week.

Brown’s other finalists include Kentucky, Cincinnati, Michigan and Oklahoma, although only Kentucky and Cincinnati received official visits.
