3. The official visits

When June came around, Nick Singleton scheduled five official visits, but one notable school was missing, Ohio State.

As it turns out, the Buckeyes were only taking one running back in their 2021 class and they felt like they had their guy in Dallan Hayden. One big competitor was out of the way.

With that said, the competition was as tough as it gets. Singleton’s visits included Wisconsin, Penn State, Notre Dame, Texas A&M and Alabama.

Although Alabama is Alabama and Texas A&M recruits as well as anyone, most believed this was now a battle between Penn State and Notre Dame. At the conclusion of the visits, both schools felt good about their chances to land Singleton.

With the visits complete, Singleton set his commitment date for July 6, 2021.
