USC and UCLA to Join the Big Ten?!?

USC and UCLA are looking to join the Big Ten Conference, according to sources.
Well, here’s your Thursday afternoon stunner. Two schools about as far away from the B1G Conference as geographically possible are looking to join the Big Ten Conference. The two most prestigious programs of the Pac 12 Conference, USC and UCLA, are looking to join the B1G as early as the 2024 season.
Penn State has played USC in football 10 times, winning four games and USC is on a three-game winning streak, most famously winning the 2017 Rose Bowl, which was an instant classic. USC, while down a bit now, is a perennial power in the game of college football, having won 11 national championships (2nd all-time) and has 84 first-round NFL draft picks, also ranking second.
The Nittany Lions have only played UCLA six times, winning just two, but the last game was in 1968, a 21-6 Nittany Lion win. UCLA has won the conference championship 17 times and spent 537 weeks in the AP Poll, 16th all-time.
Both teams play in classic venues, with USC at the LA Memorial Coliseum and UCLA in the classic Rose Bowl Stadium. While nothing is official, imagine a world where every year the Nittany Lions play in one of these two stadiums, to say nothing of hosting USC or UCLA in a Whiteout game on ABC on a late October night!
The two schools would also be a welcomed addition to the conference in sports like basketball, baseball and softball. Adding more competition to an already ultracompetitive conference.
