Talented safety King Mack commits to Penn State Football
Penn State Football landed another commit this month with King Mack announcing his pledge to the Nittany Lions.
King Mack is one of the best safeties on the east coast, and he’s now a member of Penn State’s 2023 class.
Mack announced his decision on Instagram on Thursday.
on Instagram: “10000% committed #efe #blessed”

Mack is the teammate of fellow 4-star and Penn State commit Conrad Hussey. The two are the starting safeties at St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida and now could be the future starting safety duo at Penn State. This is the first time Penn State has landed high school teammates in the same recruiting class since the King twins in the 2021 cycle.
Listed at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, Mack is rated as the No. 22 safety in the country in the 247 Sports Composite. 247 Sports is a little higher on him than the other recruiting sites, they have him rated as the No. 7 safety in the nation.
Despite being from Florida, Mack’s recruitment featured mostly northern schools. Outside of Penn State, Mack’s other official visit was to Michigan State. In all, Mack accumulated 30 offers. It is worth noting that Florida and Florida State have not offered yet. Miami is the only one of the Florida ‘Big Three’ to offer Mack.
Safety recruiting has really taken off under position coach Anthony Poindexter. In 2022, Poindexter reeled in three 4-star recruits and how has three 4-stars committed in the 2023 class. The Nittany Lions should feel good about the future of the position with Poindexter at the helm.
Mack is also one of the best sprinters in the state of Florida. He was the state champ in the 400-meter back in May. Speed for a safety is never a bad thing and Mack has plenty of it.
In addition to his talent, King Mack may have one of the best names in College Football. He is certainly one of the better names among Penn State players in the last few years.
With Mack on board, the Nittany Lions now have 16 commits and rank third in the national rankings. Mack is the fifth comit for the Nittany Lions in the month of June.
