Penn State Football: creating an All-James Franklin era defense

Last week, we ranked the best offensive players of the James Franklin era, and now, we’ll do the same with the defense – but with a bit of a twist.

Penn State Football has had so many great defensive players over the past eight seasons, making it difficult to split hairs and rank them in a short list. So instead, we will create a defense – first team and second team – using the best defensive players that have played under James Franklin at Penn State.

It was certainly tough to leave certain guys off this list, but there were only 22 spots to fill.
