Less than two months ago, Jahan Dotson heard his name called in the first round of the NFL Draft, and now, he is making a great first impression with his new team during OTAs.
The former Penn State wideout, and first ever draft pick by the Washington Commanders, has impressed many people within the organization, including his starting quarterback.

His head coach has also been impressed.
Commanders’ defensive lineman, Jonathan Allen (a former first rounder himself), also spoke very highly of Jahan Dotson.

With plays like this, it is no wonder that Jahan Dotson is receiving such high praise from his coaches and teammates.

That is nothing new to Penn State fans, and it seems like there has been plenty more outstanding plays from Dotson throughout OTAs.
First play of 11s: Jahan Dotson leaves Kendall Fuller in the dust on a crossing route. Wentz finds him for the easy completion. Next play: Wentz finds TE Cole Turner open down the seem

Logan Paulsen said Jahan Dotson is absolutely dicing people up in OTAs and is near uncoverable

And the only DB that’s been able to stay on him is Benjamin St-Juste
Anyone who followed his career at Penn State certainly shouldn’t be shocked by all of this hype surrounding the Commanders’ rookie wideout, as he made jaw-dropping plays on a weekly basis for the Nittany Lions.
It also should come as no surprise that he has carried himself well, as he is just as good of a person as he is a football player.
Former Penn State receivers Allen Robinson and Chris Godwin have gone on to have excellent professional careers, and KJ Hamler could also be poised for a breakout season now that he is healthy and has Russell Wilson as his quarterback.
Could Jahan Dotson be next?
It certainly seems like a good possibility.
There is also a good chance that he could become the third Penn State first-rounder in five years to win Rookie of the Year.
Dotson is one of the best wide receivers in Penn State history, and now he will be looking to become one of the best wide receivers in the National Football League.
