WR Carmelo Taylor

Another wide receiver that Penn State fans probably aren’t too familiar with is Virginia native Carmelo Taylor.

Taylor currently does not have a 247 Sports Composite ranking, but 247 Sports currently rates him as a high 3-star with an 89 rating.

Listed at 6-foot and 170 pounds, Taylor is expected to take an official visit to Penn State on June 24 according to his 247 Sports profile.

Taylor is also a standout on the track as well. He was recently clocked running a 10.62 second 100-meter track time at the Virginia state championships. Taylor went home with first place in the 100-meter and 200-meter races. His speed is legit.

If Penn State can land the two speedsters in Haynes and Taylor, the loss of Gallagher will be forgotten by most Penn State fans.

The Nittany Lions prioritized speed at the receiver position in 2022 and it looks like that will continue in the 2023 cycle.
