Penn State Football offensive lineman – Landon Tengwall
To say that the Nittany Lions need help along the offensive line is an understatement, but sophomore Landon Tengwall could play a critical role in helping to change that narrative.
As part of the 2021 Penn State Football recruiting class, Tengwall is the highest-rated offensive lineman that James Franklin has signed since 2016: so the talent and potential is there.
Though his appearances as a true freshman in 2021 were limited, Landon Tengwall did look good when he was called upon.
Expect him to start at left guard in 2022, where he will be sandwiched between Olu Fashanu and Juice Scruggs. The trio will be Penn State’s three best offensive linemen this season, and Tengwall has a chance to be the best of the bunch.
His name won’t show up on the stat sheet, but with Landon Tengwall out there, anticipate a significant improvement in both run blocking and pass protection from the left guard position: which was a definite weak spot a year ago.
When the Nittany Lions have the ball, keep an eye on No. 58 in the trenches.
