Week one of the four-week official visit window is here, and multiple top targets are expected to visit Penn State Football this weekend.

Each week, we will take a look at some of the biggest names visiting Penn State for an official visit.

As mentioned yesterday, this is the beginning of a critical stretch for Penn State Football as they look to build on the success from the 2022 recruiting cycle. The 2023 class is just as important- if not more- as the 2022 one.

Penn State needs to stack these classes and keep up talent wise with the likes of Ohio State and Michigan.

This official visit weekend looks to have the smallest number of visitors of the four weeks. Although there may not be quantity, there certainly is plenty of quality with this group.

Let’s take a look at who will be in Happy Valley this weekend.

4-star DT Jason Moore

It’s a small group on campus this week as Jason Moore is the only uncommitted 2023 recruit expected on campus this weekend.

He has been relatively quiet since releasing a top five in May, but the Nittany Lions made the cut. He also hasn’t publicly stated that he will be in Happy Valley this weekend, but it’s listed on his 247 Sports profile.

The DeMatha Catholic product is one of the most sought-after defensive linemen on the East Coast. Listed at 6-foot-6 and 255 pounds, Moore is also a standout on the basketball court. He has a perfect combination of size and athleticism.

Penn State Football has plenty of defensive tackle targets on the board, and a lot of them are visiting at some point this month, but Moore is near the top of the list. Considering he’s the only big name expected on campus this weekend, the staff can focus all of their attention on him. That should certainly help the Nittany Lions’ push to land Moore.

Moore has visits scheduled to Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame later this month. The competition is stiff here.
