1. Indiana
2. Auburn
3. Purdue
4. Michigan
5. Rutgers

Okay, before you call me completely crazy, hear me out. Because I’m guessing I’m the only VBR contributor to pick IU as my best game to attend this season.

Bloomington is an incredible college town full of museums and art galleries for families, family-owned diners, pubs, breweries, great restaurants, and the campus at IU is absolutely beautiful. It’s basically State College minus the corn fields and horrendous gameday traffic.

Speaking of that, the gameday experience at Indiana University Memorial Stadium is relaxing, the IU fanbase is very welcoming, the stadium feels modern and upgraded, and the best part is, chances are pretty good you will see a Penn State win. Okay, okay. Yes, IU did beat the Nittany Lions in 2013 and 2020 but I’m chalking those up to flukes.

Plus, BTown is slightly less than a nine-hour drive from Happy Valley as compared to a 13+ hour drive down to Auburn. And even with the current gas prices where they are, filling up your tank twice to get to Indiana definitely beats a $654 plane ticket from the UP Airport.

I will add that Auburn is a close second though. Purdue gets the nod at No. 3 because it’s a Thursday night game and Michigan snags the No. 4 spot because the Big House is old, and you have to actually travel through Michigan to get there. And Big Ten Powerhouse Rutgers is a distant last for a plethora of reasons that I will not bore you with any further.
