4. Michael Robinson

Michael Robinson (no relation to Allen) is one of the best athletes to ever play at Penn State.

As the quarterback of the 2005 team, Robinson helped lead the Nittany Lions to an 11-1 record with a Big Ten title and an Orange Bowl victory.

Robinson’s 2005 season was one the best by a Penn State quarterback. He threw for 2,350 yards with 17 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. He added 806 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns as well.

While his play would have opened up NIL opportunities for Robinson, it’s what we see him doing today on television that would have really opened up opportunities.

With his NFL career over, Robinson has shifted to the analysist side of things for the NFL Network. He has emerged as one of the more likable personalities on the Network as one the co-hosts on “Good Morning Football”.

Robinson even had a brief acting career, appearing on a couple episodes of The Young and the Restless.

Robinson would have been an ideal spokesman for local companies and definitely would have gotten some airtime on television during his Penn State career.

His 2005 teammate, Paul Posluszny, would have rivaled Robinson thanks to the linebacker winning the Chuck Bednarik Award and Dick Butkus Award in 2005, but Robinson’s work on television shows he would have been a very marketable player.
