Pitt star wide receiver Jordan Addison sent shockwaves through the college football world last month when he put his name in the transfer portal.

Immediately following the news, USC emerged as the front-runner for Addison. Others like Texas, Alabama and Georgia also started to be linked to the Biletnikoff Award winner, but there was no mention of Penn State.

After losing star wide receiver Jahan Dotson to the draft and being in the same region as Addison’s former school and hometown, you would think there would be at least some mention of Penn State in this sweepstakes.

Considering Penn State’s recent success with wide receivers, especially with Dotson, you could see how they’d be an attractive destination for a star wide receiver.

You can understand Addison just not being interested in Penn State, but the average fan may be asking why the team hasn’t really shown interest in him. It may not make sense on the surface, but as you’ll see, it’s actually pretty understandable why neither side is that interested in the other.
