It’s time for the NFL Draft, and there will be plenty of former Penn State Football standouts that will hear their name called this weekend.

The first round of the draft begins on Thursday night at 8:00pm EST, followed by rounds two and three on Friday at 7:00pm, and finally rounds four through seven beginning at noon on Saturday. The draft will air on ABC, ESPN, and the NFL Network.

Fans would be shocked if neither Jahan Dotson, nor Arnold Ebiketie, are selected in the first round on Thursday night, as both were highly productive during their time with the Nittany Lions.

Jaquan Brisker, who is one of the best safeties and most versatile defensive backs in the entire draft, is another player who will likely hear his name called sooner rather than later.

Jesse Luketa, Brandon Smith, Rasheed Walker, and Tariq Castro-Fields, among others, will also almost certainly be selected at some point throughout the draft, though likely not until later on.

These three Penn State Football lettermen will almost certainly be the first Nittany Lions off the board this weekend, but where will they land?

Arnold Ebiketie

After transferring from Temple to Penn State, Arnold Ebiketie had a breakout season and made a name for himself, and now, with the draft fast approaching, the Big Ten’s leader in tackles-for-loss in 2021 is continuing to rise on draft boards across the NFL.

Neither Peter Schrager nor Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network have Ebiketie being selected in the first round of their respective final mock drafts, but it would not shock anyone in the Penn State Football community to see him sneak into the back end of round one.

The Buccaneers, Packers, Chiefs, and Lions are few teams that currently hold picks at the end of the first round that are in need of an edge rusher, according to CBS.

If ‘AK’ is not selected on Thursday night, he is most certainly a lock to hear his name called soon after the draft resumes on Friday, with rounds two and three.
