You’ve probably heard this before, but Penn State Football is in strong position to land a McDonogh School standout.

The Maryland prep school has been Penn State’s best pipeline over the years and that looks like it will continue.

Mason Robinson, a 3-star defensive end, is next in line at McDonogh and he is going to be on Penn State’s campus this weekend. Robinson tweeted the news on Thursday evening.

Defensive end is still a big need for the Nittany Lions in the 2023 class, even after landing Robinson’s high school teammate Dani Dennis-Sutton in 2022. It’s likely they will take two or three more defensive ends in this upcoming cycle.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, Robinson is a little on the smaller side for a defensive end, but Penn State has made it work with smaller defensive ends over the past few years, most notably Arnold Ebiketie and Shaka Toney.

This upcoming visit will go a long way in Robinson ending up with the Nittany Lions.
