IOWA CITY, IOWA- SEPTEMBER 23: Head coach James Franklin of the Penn State Nittany Lions points to running back Saquon Barkley /

10. RB London Montgomery

Penn State has had an insane run with Pennsylvania running backs since James Franklin arrived in Happy Valley.

First there was Saquon Barkley, then Miles Sanders, then Journey Brown and now Nick Singleton. The next in line may be Scranton Prep 3-star London Montgomery, who picked up his Penn State offer in March.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Montgomery has seen his offer sheet double over the past month and is starting to gain some national attention. With that added attention, it was time for Penn State to pull the trigger and offer Montgomery.

There are other running backs on the board for the Nittany Lions, but it’s hard to see Penn State not taking Montgomery if he wants in. A return visit to Happy Valley sometime in the coming months could seal this recruitment up for the Nittany Lions and put Montgomery in a loaded running back room with Singleton and Kaytron Allen for the next couple of years.

Penn State has returned to dominating the state in recruiting and adding Montgomery would solidify that even more.
