2. ATH Nyckoles Harbor
Speaking of elite athletes, there may not be a more impressive athlete in the country than Nyckoles Harbor.
The 5-star is listed at 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds and despite his size, he’s one of the best track runners in the high school ranks. His combination of size and speed has made him the most intriguing recruit in this year’s cycle.
Penn State has a couple things going for them in this recruitment, most notably location, as Harbor is a relatively local recruit, being from Washington D.C. There are also some things going against the Nittany Lions as every other big-name school in country wants Harbor and obviously track is important to Harbor. Penn State’s track program is not on par with some of the other schools’ track programs that are involved in the recruitment.
While it would be awesome to add a talent like Harbor to the talent pool Penn State has created over the last two recruiting cycles, it’s going to be an uphill climb. If Harbor shows up on Penn State’s campus sometime in the next few months, then the Nittany Lions still have a chance.
If not, Penn State Football is probably on the outside looking in.
