2021 Record: 5-8 (2-7)

Rutgers has yet to regain its glory with Greg Schiano as head coach.

The 2021 Rutgers Football team was more competitive than in previous years but still showed how far they have yet to go. In the Scarlet Knights’ seven losses in Big Ten play, the average margin of defeat was 25 points.

The “Birthplace of College Football” is still stuck in the 1860s.

The offense continues to struggle to move the ball and score points. The quarterback position remains unimpressive with Noah Vedral. The hope for Rutgers fans is that their freshman quarterback Gavin Wimsatt can infuse some excitement into a hard-to-watch offense.
