Way Too early B1G Football power rankings: Where does Penn State Football stand?

The Hawkeyes win games solely based on the defense shutting down the opponent.

Last season, Kirk Ferentz’s team climbed to a #2 ranking before being trounced by Purdue and Wisconsin because the offense couldn’t score.

Iowa will return a dominant defense this season like always. The offense will again be the Achilles heel that holds them back from being a real threat. Iowa has not improved the quarterback position.

Iowa will win enough games to be relevant but will always have the head-scratching performance that ruins their season.
