Penn State Basketball’s starting lineup could look markedly different in Micah Shrewsberry’s second season as head coach, especially with a strong incoming recruiting class

While the transfer portal still works on sorting itself out, who will be the starters when Penn State Basketball opens its 2022-2023 season?

Let’s start by recapping what’s happened since Penn State fell to Purdue in the Big Ten Quarterfinals, ending their 2021-2022 season.

Myles Dread has announced he will return after off-season shoulder surgery for his fifth and final year of eligibility (granted due to the COVID-19 pandemic).

Sam Sessoms announced he entered the transfer portal (and is choosing between Minnesota, Michigan, Mississippi State, Coppin State, George Mason and UTEP).  And while it’s possible Penn State Basketball loses another player or two to the portal and will likely add at least one as well, here’s where the Nittany Lions‘ roster stands right now:

Backcourt: Jameel Brown*, Andy Christos, Kanye Clary*, Dan Conlan, Ishaan Jagaisi, Dallion Johnson, Jalen Pickett, Irekefe Oweh

Frontcourt: Caleb Dorsey, Myles Dread, Demetrius Lilley*, Seth Lundy, Evan Maheffey*, Kebba Njie*, Jevonnie Scott

* indicates an incoming freshman for the 2022-2023 season

What will Penn State Basketball’s starting lineup look like next season?
